Frequently Asked Questions
This page provides detailed answers to the most common questions about Baltic Woodcrafts.
Popular questions
Yes – here are the easiest and fairest ways to save:
- Newsletter welcome offer – subscribe to receive a first-order discount (when available) and keep subscribing for future discounts and sales.
- Tiered pricing on product pages – many items have quantity discounts built in, so the price automatically drops as you add more units.
- Large quantities or repeat batches – for orders that go beyond our listed pricing tiers, we can review the volume and confirm the best possible wholesale pricing.
Because our parts are already priced as fairly as possible for small runs, we don’t offer additional discounts for low-quantity orders. The best savings always come from ordering higher volumes or planning repeat production.
If you’re unsure what quantity makes the biggest difference, tell us what you’re planning and we’ll gladly guide you to the most cost-effective option.
Our workshop focuses on semi-auto lathe-turned mass-produced wooden parts, which are rounded and symmetrical (knobs, balls, pegs, small legs, handles, and similar shapes).
We don’t offer CNC-cut or flat-cut parts, but we can produce turned parts very accurately from measurements, a sketch, or a reference sample.
If you share your design, we’ll quickly tell you if it’s a good fit for turning.
For technical and production reasons, our standard maximum size for a single turned part is 60 mm (2.36 in) in diameter and 60 mm (2.36 in) in length.
If your part is slightly above that, you can still send the details – we’ll review it and let you know if there’s a workable option (or a better way to approach it).
Yes, we ship worldwide. We pack wooden parts carefully so they arrive clean, protected, and ready to use.
For shipping costs, delivery estimates, and destination-specific details, please check our shipping policy. If you’re ordering a larger batch and want to be extra sure about timing, you can also message us and we’ll advise.
Most of our parts are made from commonly used Baltic wood species: oak, ash, birch, beech, pine, walnut, dark oak suitable for precise turning and repeat production. Wood type is always specified on the product page.
If you need a specific species for consistency or certification reasons, contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm availability.
Most parts are machine-turned and carefully sanded. They arrive smooth to the touch and ready to paint, oil, wax, engrave, or assemble.
They are unfinished on purpose – so you stay in control of the final look.
Wood is a natural material. Slight variations in tone, grain pattern, and minimal dimensional tolerance can occur. The wood we usually deliver is birch, and sanded birch can appear more pale white color than warm wood brown, cleaning it with a cloth helps since our sanded part surfaces usually have dust.
For bulk or repeat orders, we maintain production consistency and stable measurements within practical manufacturing limits.
Custom & Bulk orders
Yes, of course. We regularly provide paid samples so you can check size, fit, surface quality, and overall feel before placing a larger or repeat order.
Samples are especially helpful for new designs or when tight tolerances matter. Just let us know you’d like a sample when you contact us, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
Bulk and wholesale orders come with several benefits, including:
- Priority production once the required quantity is manufactured
- Shipping insurance to protect against loss or damage during transit
- Separate invoicing, if needed, to match your accounting process
- Planned inventory availability for orders placed at least a few weeks in advance
Minimum quantities vary by product. If a custom-made part doesn’t qualify as a bulk order, there may be an additional setup cost. We’ll always explain this clearly before moving forward.
Most wholesale and bulk orders take around 2–4 weeks to produce. Timing can vary based on the part’s size, complexity, wood type, and current workload.
Once we review your request, we’ll confirm a realistic production timeline so you know exactly what to expect.
Many of our products already include automatic tiered pricing, so discounts apply as you increase quantity during checkout.
If your planned order goes beyond the highest tier shown in the shop, we can review it individually. For very high-volume orders, we’re happy to discuss additional wholesale pricing based on total quantity and production planning.
If you’re ordering:
- Large, repeatable quantities over time, you may be a good fit for a B2B order (ongoing monthly or planned yearly production).
- A custom size, adjustment, or newly developed part, you may be better suited for a custom order.
Tell us what you’re planning, and we’ll guide you to the most cost-effective option for your situation.
Bulk pricing eligibility depends on the quantity, part dimensions, and wood type.
Once you submit your request on Custom Order form or B2B form with the details, we’ll review it and let you know whether it qualifies for bulk pricing and what the most cost-effective option would be.
Please provide:
- Exact dimensions (diameter, length, hole size if needed)
- Wood type preference
- Required quantity
- Deadline (if relevant)
- A sketch or reference photo (if available)
The more precise the information, the faster we can confirm feasibility and pricing. For much faster answer just fill our Custom Order Form.
We can often add holes, adjust lengths slightly, or modify minor details for larger quantities.
Small setup costs may apply depending on the adjustment and volume. We’ll always confirm before proceeding.
If you reorder the same part regularly, we can plan production batches in advance to improve pricing stability and lead times.
This works best for ongoing monthly or seasonal production.
Environmental & Ethical questions
Yes. We source our wood from suppliers who comply with Lithuanian forestry laws and regulations. Trees are harvested through controlled, selective cutting, and forests are replanted and managed long-term.
We focus on using wood responsibly and efficiently, minimizing waste during production and making the most of each log.
Certification varies depending on the wood type and supplier. Some of our materials meet government-approved handling and sourcing standards.
If certification is important for your project or customer requirements, let us know which product you’re interested in and we’ll check what documentation is available.
We use properly dried wood suitable for turning and stable indoor use.
However, wood remains a natural material and reacts to extreme humidity or temperature changes. Proper storage is important.
Wood is a natural, renewable material that stores carbon during its lifetime and can biodegrade at the end of use. When sourced responsibly, it has a much lower long-term environmental impact than plastic.
Plastic is made from fossil fuels and can remain in landfills or oceans for hundreds of years. By choosing wooden parts, you’re supporting renewable materials and helping reduce long-lasting plastic waste.
Returns & Refunds
If something arrives damaged or defective, please contact us as soon as possible and include a few photos so we can see what happened.
We’ll guide you through the next steps and offer a replacement or refund, depending on the situation and product availability. We want to make sure you’re taken care of.
To keep your wooden products looking their best:
- Keep them dry and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
- Store away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or warping.
- Clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed.
- For finished items, occasional oiling or polishing can help maintain the surface.
If you’re using the product outdoors or in demanding conditions, sealing or varnishing is recommended.
You can request a replacement or refund by filling out the return request form on our website or contacting our support team directly.
Once we receive your request, we’ll review it and guide you step by step through what happens next.
After your return is approved and shipped, we’ll send you a tracking number by email. You can also find return and exchange updates in your Account Dashboard under order history.
Because custom-made items are produced specifically for your project, they are not refundable or exchangeable.
The only exception is if the item arrives damaged or defective. In that case, please contact us and we’ll work with you on a fair solution.

Product & Material details
We supply unfinished wooden components that are clean, smooth, and ready for your own finishing. That means you can paint, oil, wax, stain, engrave, assemble, or customize them however your project needs.
All parts are machine-turned and carefully sanded. They arrive smooth to the touch and suitable for painting, engraving, branding, and general crafting work.
We use commonly available wood species suitable for turning and repeat production. The exact wood type for each item is specified in the product listing.
If you need a specific species for consistency, customer requirements, or documentation, contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm options.
Because wood is a natural material, you may see slight differences in grain, tone, and texture between pieces. This is normal and part of real wood. Our usual sanded birch may appear pale light brown-white since it was sanded and polished, usually cleaning sanding dust with cloth helps to show the warmer colours of the wood.
For repeat and bulk orders, we focus on stable sourcing and consistent production to keep results as uniform as practical.
We manufacture for repeatability and stable dimensions, but small tolerances can occur due to natural material behavior and production methods.
If your project requires tight-fit pairing (for example: holes, plugs, or assembly with other components), tell us upfront – we’ll advise the best approach.
We don’t offer full CNC work, but for suitable designs and quantities we can often do practical modifications like drilling holes or small dimensional tweaks.
Share your requirements and quantity, and we’ll confirm feasibility and pricing.
We use wood suitable for turning and stable indoor use. Like all wood, it can react to humidity and temperature changes.
For best results:
- Store parts in a dry, ventilated place
- Avoid direct heat sources and prolonged moisture
- Let parts acclimate if they’ve travelled through very different climates
For outdoor or high-moisture environments, apply a suitable sealer (varnish, oil, wax, paint, or other protective finish) to help protect the wood over time.
If you tell us how the part will be used, we can suggest the safest finishing direction (from a woodworking perspective).
