Everything we do starts simply – with an idea, a drawing, and a quality piece of wood.
In our workshop, wood becomes lids, knobs, handles, and small wooden components that later become part of furniture, staircases, gifts, or creative projects.
Our family works with wood every single day. Every piece passes not only through machines, but also through our own hands and visual inspection. We check it, touch it, sand it as much as needed to make it feel right in the hand – exactly how we would want to receive it ourselves.
Even though we produce in large quantities, woodturning for us is never a conveyor process. When manufacturing bigger batches for businesses, each piece still has its own cycle and selection process. We combine traditional craftsmanship with automated equipment to achieve precision and consistently high quality.
How It All Started
The workshop founded by our father has been operating for over 40 years. Židrūnas, an experienced woodturner, began with simple jobs and basic lathes. Over time, he introduced more advanced mechanisms and techniques for working with wood.
In the very beginning, wooden frames were milled. Today, we turn small, precise components.
In 2017, his son Alan helped bring these products online. That’s how medgaminiai.lt was born – first as a small catalogue, later as a full e-commerce store growing together with our customers. Many things have changed over time, but one thing remains the same – we manufacture what we sell.
In 2026, we became “Baltic Woodcrafts.” It’s not just a new name, but a clearer direction – working with customers across Europe, both creators and businesses looking for reliable wooden components.
What We Actually Produce
Most of our products are small components – up to 60 mm in size. At first glance, they may seem simple. But often, it’s these small details that define the overall quality of a final product.
We work with:
-
Furniture manufacturers
-
Staircase producers
-
Jewelry and gift brands
-
Craftspeople and carpenters
-
Schools and educational projects
-
DIY enthusiasts
We use locally sourced wood from sawmills across Lithuania. It is dried, cut, turned, and sanded right here in our workshop – without intermediaries or long supply chains. This allows us to control not only the shape, but also the feel: the surface must be smooth, the edges clean, and the piece ready for use or further processes such as painting or varnishing.
We maintain and adjust our tools and machines ourselves. Some mechanisms are even built or modified by us, because only that way can we achieve the precision and quality we require. Production leftovers are repurposed into heating pellets.
Why It Matters
Many of our clients choose us because:
-
The components are consistently high quality
-
The surfaces are suitable for painting and engraving
-
Outsourcing production to us reduces their manufacturing costs
-
Delivery is fast and predictable
Instead of mass CNC production from abroad – especially low-quality imports – we offer higher precision, smoother surfaces ready for finishing, quick shipping, and competitive wholesale pricing. If needed, we can advise on dimensions, adjust specifications, assist with prototypes, or produce larger volumes.
About This Blog
In this blog, we want to share what usually stays behind the scenes:
-
How we select wood
-
Differences between wood species
-
How to prepare components for painting or engraving
-
Common mistakes manufacturers make
-
How our components become part of real projects
We will also showcase how customers use our products, share insights from custom orders, and talk about the solutions we find together.
Our goal is simple – to make wood not only beautiful, but reliable.
In Closing
“Baltic Woodcrafts” is our family craft, growing together with the people who create. We manufacture in Lithuania, with respect for wood and for nature.
